Method 1: Cut in half Preheat oven to 350℉.
Wash squash and cut in half longways.
Use a spoon or ice cream scoop to scoop out all the seeds.
Butter or oil cut edges and place cut side down on rimmed baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until you can easily stick a fork all the way through it.
Use a fork to flake the strands apart.
Serve as a side with butter and seasonings, or with pasta sauce, or use in a casserole.
Method 2: Bake Whole Preheat oven to 350℉.
Wash squash and use a sharp knife to pierce all over with holes. Make sure to get all the way to the center.
Put on a rimmed baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 60-90 minutes until you can easily stick a fork all the way to the middle.
Use a spoon or ice cream scoop to scoop out all the seeds.
