Southern Fried Cinnamon Apples

Apples are the star of the show in this simple fried apples recipe. Lightly sweetened and cinnamon spiced, these apples are great for dessert, breakfast, or an afternoon snack. This no fuss recipe can be on the table in about 20 minutes and is sure to please the whole family.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 apples of your choice
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar more or less

Instructions
 

  • Wash apples or peel. Then core and slice.
  • Melt butter over medium heat in frying pan.
  • Add the apple slices and stir. Fry the apples until soft, about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and stir until all the slices are coated.
  • Sprinkle sugar over the apples and stir it in until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with ice cream for dessert, or over oatmeal or yogurt for breakfast.
